What issues need to be paid attention to in layout?
1. The signal line
should not be too close to board edge:
As the surrounding of circuit board is
the part that easily be impacted by some vulnerable external noise, this part of board
is usually connected to ground, while it is important not to get too close to the
signal line of board edge.
2. USB signal lines should be as short as possible:
If the USB signal line is too long, it is more vulnerable to be effected by interference,
which will reduce the chip EFT ability, as shown below, the distance between USB Connect
and Sonix USB IC is as short as possible.
3. The path
of USB signal line should avoid any form of cross components:
In the USB signal
line path across any component may lead to EFT capabilities greatly reduced, both
sides of the PCB board, there are certain effect, so user should avoid such situations
from occurring in design.
Even if the signal line of other components cross USB signal through the back of PCB board may also result in a decreased ability of EFT.
