Sonix Introduced a series of Single Chip Four-Channel Cap-sensing Speech Controller SNC81000S

Touch technology has been used pervasively in all aspects of
people’s daily life. To be ahead of the tremendous trend,
Sonix Technology is leading industry to announce launching
a new series of 4-channel speech controllers- SNC81000S
coupled with capacitive sensing touch function in single
chip solution. The hardware structure of SNC81000S series
is a System on a Chip (SoC) design comprising both speech
control and touch function within a single chip. Such an
innovative design can reduce the PCB size and less
components with low power consumption saving customers’
developing cost significantly. The new SNC81000S series
supports up to 16-key direct or 120-key matrix touch keys,
providing flexibility for customers to develop new products.
SNC81000S is the most competitive solution which has ever
seen in the industry.

In contrast with the two chips structures of the capacitive
sensing speech controllers developed by the other companies,
the new series of SNC81000s only use one chip with an
integrated voice control and touch functionality.
The features of SNC81000S include: built up a powerful 8-bit
CPU, four -channel and MIDI function, 8-bit/16-ch ADC,
support RTC & SPI IF, support 4、5、6 bit ADPCM speech
algorithm, etc. The sophisticate design of SNC81000S
provides 14-bits PPDAC with higher quality voice output.

Regarding the touch function, SNC81000 series can support
to up 16 Key direct touch key and maximum 120 matrix touch
key, provide a generic development tools (ICE/EV Flash
Board) & Cap Sensing Tool for difference materials
calibration offering customers more possibilities to develop
new applications. The series also are equipped with a
comparator coupled and a 256 voltage level to make
comparisons. These features make the chip can connect to
different sensors to detect various analog signals. The
series also provides 8 sets of PWM IO for pushing motor and
LED applications. Besides that the new series also has an
external interruption function that can respond to external
feedback signal timely and accuracy. It also builds up a SPI
interface which allows connecting external SPI flash
memories to extend memory size.

The SNC81000S series also provides comprehensive development
tools to help customers emulate and verify touch function.
The series of SNC81000s are the best choices for customers
to apply to electronic toys and electronic learning
appliances with touch functions such as touch toy
plush/dolls, touch organs, musical instruments, toy
mobile/tablets or motor/audible detection applications
