Sonix Technology Launches AEC-Q100 Grade 1 Certified Automotive-Grade 32-bit Cortex™-M0 Microcontroller – SNA32F805JG
Sonix Technology, a leading microcontroller manufacturer, following the successful
launch of its 8-bit 8051 MCU SNA8F5762JG series with automotive-grade certification
in February 2025, has announced the release of its automotive-grade 32-bit Cortex™-M0
SNA32F805JG series in the same year. The SNA32F805JG has passed AEC-Q100 Grade 1 certification,
featuring a main frequency of up to 60MHz and an operating temperature range of -40°C
to 125°C. The product boasts high performance, reliability, strong interference resistance,
and excellent cost-effectiveness. It is suitable for a wide range of automotive applications,
maintaining stable and reliable operation under various extreme conditions (e.g.,
high/low temperatures, vibration, and humidity) to ensure functionality throughout
the vehicle’s lifecycle. The SNA32F805JG is ideal for applications such as power seats,
front headlights, power tailgates, dynamic taillights, ambient lighting, wiper control,
window control, air conditioning control, and automotive rearview mirrors, enabling
diverse in-vehicle applications and control functions.
The SNA32F805JG series features 32KB Flash, 8KB RAM, and a wide operating voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V. Its peripherals include a 12-channel 12-bit 1M SPS ADC, 4-channel 12-bit DAC, 2 comparators, a high-precision 48MHz IHRC, 30 GPIO pins, and integrated high-speed communication interfaces: SPI, I2C, and UART, paired with a Pin Function Programmable Array (PFPA) feature. This enables various communication modes for automotive control, while the multi-channel ADC supports data acquisition and processing from sensors such as temperature sensors. The internal configuration includes four general-purpose 16-bit timers and PWM for motor control in automotive applications. The product is available in a compact QFN32 (4mm x 4mm) package, reducing the need for external components and minimizing the size of end products.
For development tools, the SNA32F805JG series offers a development kit with built-in online programming capabilities, supporting In-System Programming (ISP) for direct system updates. This enhances production flexibility and convenience, effectively shortening development time, reducing costs, and ensuring quality and competitiveness.
AEC-Q100 certification imposes stringent requirements on chip design quality, safety, and reliability, serving as a critical entry point for IC manufacturers in the automotive industry. Sonix Technology, long focused on consumer electronics, has once again entered the automotive market with an automotive-grade MCU, upgraded to Cortex™-M0 with larger memory and rich peripheral functions, demonstrating its commitment to the automotive sector. Sonix places great emphasis on product quality, implementing strict control processes in design, manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance, and continues to provide customers with high-quality and reliable products.
